A few friendly suggestions
Animal Friendly
We are unique in welcoming both dogs and horses by prior arrangement. We have turnout for horses, and dogs can sleep in your room or the Aga-warmed kitchen. Anthony is a retired vet, so you can have every confidence that we will look after your pet well. You are welcome to roam throughout our ten acres, but please observe the country code and make sure that gates are well fastened as you pass through and dogs are on leads, particularly when there are sheep and chickens in the fields.
While we welcome your dog, can we politely ask that you abide by a few rules, mainly to ensure that your visit is a safe and stress free one:
- Please make sure you clear up after your dog if they make a mess in the gardens or pathways. We are more than happy to supply bags for you.
- Please do not leave your dog unsupervised in your room. Even the quietest of animals who are happy to be left alone at home can turn into little monsters when left in strange places.
- Please make sure your dog is kept on a lead when walking in fields where there are livestock.
- When there are other guests, we respectfully request that you don’t allow your dog into the dining room during breakfast. Of course, if you are the only guests, this is absolutely fine.
Child Friendly
You’ll be pleased to know that we are also child friendly and happy to provide a camp bed for your child should you wish to have them sleep in your room. We can also provide a highchair for meal times. However, as many of our guests come for a quiet, relaxed stay, children under 8 only if you take both rooms.
Smoking
in accordance with the law, for your health’s sake and because of fire risk, we are a no-smoking house and would be grateful to you for observing this.
We will do everything in our power to make your stay memorable and make you want to come again, but if there is anything that we can do to make your stay with us better, please do not hesitate to ask.
