Yew Tree Farm is set in the stunning Ape Dale, between Church Stretton and Much Wenlock in South Shropshire. In the immediate area there are a number of pubs with restaurants, varying from haute cuisine to simple, wholesome fare. The Longville Arms is our local and a warm welcome is always assured. We are very happy to make reservations for you for any of the local restaurants. We have a good knowledge of the area and can help you plan your holiday so as to enjoy the area to its full potential.

Church Stretton is a flourishing market town boasting several specialist shops including delicatessens, book shops, unusual gift shops, a large antique centre and an outdoor clothing shop. The town nestles in a deep valley formed by the Long Mynd and the Caradoc hills, providing excellent walking country. A brisk climb up Caer Caradoc, the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort, is rewarded by panoramic views over the Shropshire Plain with buzzards soaring overhead. The National Trust manages much of the area (over 5000 acres) and has a popular visitor centre in Carding Mill Valley. Gliding is on offer at the West Midlands Gliding Club on the Long Mynd or you can take a relaxing round of golf on the hilly local 18 hole course.

The nearby Much Wenlock is a charming small town dating back to 680 AD, boasting several attractive timber buildings, unusual shops and the 13th C Wenlock Priory.

Close by lie many places of interest: Acton Burnell Castle, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and the charming 13th C Stokesay Castle are only a few miles away; the historic market towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow, with their picturesque Tudor buildings, 900 year old castles and abundance of top quality restaurants and shops are nearby; and Ironbridge, the birthplace of the industrial revolution and now a World Heritage site, is a short drive away.
